FULLY SCRIPTED: Bloody Pulp, pages 3-4
Posted by Jorge | Filed under Bloody Pulp, Script Samples, The Work, Zuda, writing
Last week we shared a couple of pages of raw script from our Zuda entry, Bloody Pulp. Today, we bring you a couple more. Feel free to leave a comment. Enjoy!
PAGE THREE (6 panels)
Panel 1 – Exterior shot. Industrial buildings and warehouses line the Missouri River.
Panel 2 – All the windows are dark, save for one rundown warehouse. The sign out front reads KANSAS CITY MEATS. PULP’S beat up truck sits parked outside.
SFX (from within)
>>THOOMP!<<
Panel 3 – Looking through a window up high, the reader can see the electric chair from the previous scene sitting under a cone of light. EUSTACE and PULP are no longer there. A trail of blood marks the circle of light’s radius, as if someone has been dragged from the chair.
SFX (from op)
>>THOOMP! THAK!<<
Panel 4 – The trail of blood leads to a long stone top table. PULP stands over the table holding a butcher’s knife in one hand, his back to the reader. A headless body lies on the table before him.
Panel 5 – PULP is putting shoes onto the dead body’s feet. They’re EUSTACE’S shoes. Though the reader shouldn’t realize it, the dead man is not EUSTACE.
Panel 6 – PULP’S huge fingers carefully tie the dead man’s shoelace.
PAGE FOUR (6 panels)
Panel 1 – Exterior shot under a bridge. PULP’S truck idles. Another, much nicer looking, auto idles a couple of yards away. It’s DESANTI’S car. DESANTI’S silhouette can be seen sitting in the backseat. The cars face each other with their headlights on. DESANTI’S DRIVER walks toward PULP’S truck. PULP’S large shadowy form can be seen standing at the back of his truck.
Panel 2 – DESANTI’S DRIVER and PULP stand near the open bed of his truck. PULP lifts a heavy piece of burlap, revealing the DEAD HEADLESS BODY to the DRIVER. The body wears EUSTACE’S clothes.
Panel 3 – PULP watches as the DRIVER, back at DESANTI’S car, leans over and talks to DESANTI through a slightly open window.
DRIVER
It’s done.
Panel 4 – DESANTI’S well manicured hand emerges from the window, holding a thick envelope.
Panel 5 – Back at the truck, the DRIVER hands the envelope to PULP. PULP is already in the driver’s seat.
DRIVER
He wants to know… what do you do with the heads?
Panel 6 – PULP’S truck pulls away.
PULP
Nothing much.
