FULLY SCRIPTED: Bloody Pulp, Pages 5-6

Two more pages from Bloody Pulp. Voting is still going on folks and we are most assuredly still the underdogs. Woof!
PAGE FIVE (6 panels)
Panel 1 – Close-up on EUSTACE’S battered head. One eye is closed; the other swollen shut. The panel is cropped and angled in such a way as to lead the reader to believe that we’re looking at a decapitated head.
Panel 2 – EUSTACE’S good eye springs open.
Panel 3 – EUSTACE sits up in bed. Morning’s gentle light falls over him. He is shirtless. An amateur, but tasteful, painting of a nude woman fills the space above the bed’s headboard.
Panel 4 – The shot widens. EUSTACE is in a large, almost empty room. The bed is wide and comfortable but nothing fancy. A small night table with an unlit kerosene lamp sits at the bed side. Long white curtains billow into the room from an open window. Everything in the room is bright and clean. This could be a simple man’s heaven.
Panel 5 – EUSTACE sees clothes draped over a chair in the corner of the room.
Panel 6 – EUSTACE lifts the bed sheet and peeks under to confirm his nakedness.
LANDON’S VOICE (op)
All I’m saying is if you’re gonna do a thing, do it right and you’ll only do it once.
PAGE SIX (5 panels)
Panel 1 – EUSTACE, with the bed sheet wrapped around his waist, follows the voices to the window. The fluttering curtains massage his shoulders.
GRIFF’S VOICE (outside)
Sorry about the mess, Landon. Guess I’m not very good with my hands.
Panel 2 – Outside TWO SHOELESS MEN and a DOG walk by the window. The TWO MEN carry several planks of wood up on their shoulders. One of the men, LANDON, carries a can of paint. The man behind him, GRIFF, has a bandage wrapped around his head. A healing scar runs down one side of GRIFF’S face. Both men wear smiles and overalls with the pant legs rolled up. It’s a Rockwell painting come to life.
LANDON
Not to worry. You’ll get better. We all do.
Panel 3 – Over EUSTACE’S shoulder, we see the “backyard”, a vast expanse of green. A small cornfield grows. An OLDER MAN hoes a row beside the corn while a YOUNG WOMAN sits over a washtub, scrubbing clothes. Behind it all is a long, low cabin– the bunkhouse.
WOMAN (op)
Was just bringing back some fresh bandages for you.
Panel 4 – An attractive WOMAN stands in the doorway. She smiles gently at EUSTACE. She wears a simple white dress, no shoes, and carries a small tray. There are bandages and scissors on the tray. EUSTACE frantically reaches for the clothes on the chair.
WOMAN
Took off the old ones while you were sleeping. Thought I might wash your face before-
EUSTACE
Uh.
WOMAN
No need to feel ashamed.
Panel 5 – EUSTACE rushes by the WOMAN, holding the clothes from the chair. He looks like a panicked prisoner making a break from the asylum.
EUSTACE
Pardon me, ma’am.

FULLY SCRIPTED: Bloody Pulp, pages 3-4

Last week we shared a couple of pages of raw script from our Zuda entry, Bloody Pulp. Today, we bring you a couple more. Feel free to leave a comment. Enjoy!
PAGE THREE (6 panels)
Panel 1 – Exterior shot. Industrial buildings and warehouses line the Missouri River.
Panel 2 – All the windows are dark, save for one rundown warehouse. The sign out front reads KANSAS CITY MEATS. PULP’S beat up truck sits parked outside.
SFX (from within)
>>THOOMP!<<
Panel 3 – Looking through a window up high, the reader can see the electric chair from the previous scene sitting under a cone of light. EUSTACE and PULP are no longer there. A trail of blood marks the circle of light’s radius, as if someone has been dragged from the chair.
SFX (from op)
>>THOOMP! THAK!<<
Panel 4 – The trail of blood leads to a long stone top table. PULP stands over the table holding a butcher’s knife in one hand, his back to the reader. A headless body lies on the table before him.
Panel 5 – PULP is putting shoes onto the dead body’s feet. They’re EUSTACE’S shoes. Though the reader shouldn’t realize it, the dead man is not EUSTACE.
Panel 6 – PULP’S huge fingers carefully tie the dead man’s shoelace.
PAGE FOUR (6 panels)
Panel 1 – Exterior shot under a bridge. PULP’S truck idles. Another, much nicer looking, auto idles a couple of yards away. It’s DESANTI’S car. DESANTI’S silhouette can be seen sitting in the backseat. The cars face each other with their headlights on. DESANTI’S DRIVER walks toward PULP’S truck. PULP’S large shadowy form can be seen standing at the back of his truck.
Panel 2 – DESANTI’S DRIVER and PULP stand near the open bed of his truck. PULP lifts a heavy piece of burlap, revealing the DEAD HEADLESS BODY to the DRIVER. The body wears EUSTACE’S clothes.
Panel 3 – PULP watches as the DRIVER, back at DESANTI’S car, leans over and talks to DESANTI through a slightly open window.
DRIVER
It’s done.
Panel 4 – DESANTI’S well manicured hand emerges from the window, holding a thick envelope.
Panel 5 – Back at the truck, the DRIVER hands the envelope to PULP. PULP is already in the driver’s seat.
DRIVER
He wants to know… what do you do with the heads?
Panel 6 – PULP’S truck pulls away.
PULP
Nothing much.
